The Cards of Natural Systems are developed in collaboration with artists from all over the world.
These artists carry their own individual perspective;
have their own unique artistic approach.



LOTTE
WILLEMSMA
Lotte is a dance and body-oriented therapist, breathing coach and dance teacher from The Netherlands. For Lotte, dance is a fusion of physical movements and inner experiences. Movement has always played an important role in Lotte's life; dance and movement are ways for Lotte to express her inner world as well as a way to connect with others. "I really enjoy seeing how people express their emotions, feelings or sensations through movement, and know from my own experience, how valuable this can be."

RUTHANA
SLOB
Ruthana is an arts educator, applied theatre practitioner-researcher, life coach and non-profit consultant from The Netherlands; currently living on the Traditional Territory of the Splatsin, Okanagan people, known today as Canada. In her interdisciplinary practice she collaborates with children, adults and professionals and works with a wide variety of methods, including art- and nature-assisted interventions. "My drive is to support the space where creativity, nature and (social) change come together, and to explore the interconnectedness of all life on earth."

ATEFEH
ZARGARZADEH
Atefeh is a theatre studies researcher, digital storyteller, and freelance artist from Iran, currently living on the traditional territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, and WSÁNEĆ peoples in British Columbia, Canada. Her work blends vibrant color palettes, narrative structures, and nature-inspired motifs to create immersive stories that bridge cultural gaps. Embracing digital storytelling as a transformative tool for connection, Atefeh explores how multimedia and art can amplify empathy, mobilize knowledge, and reimagine our place within natural systems.

CEANNA
WOOD
Ceanna is of Métis-Cree and Italian descent and works as an artist across Turtle Island (known as Canada). She has co-created and co-facilitated workshops titled Land Body and Spirit. These workshops intersect Indigenous ways of knowing and doing with theatre creation. She also works as an Indigenous consultant for both theatre and film projects.

EVA
SCHERPENISSE
Eva is a passionate dance teacher and performer, specializing in Afro dance. For Eva, dance is a powerful way to connect with one's roots, emotions, and with others, while also celebrating the rich history and techniques of African dance. Eva creates theatre performances that bring African dance stories to life, offering a platform for young talent to showcase their skills. She has also built the first dance studio in Abobo, Ivory Coast, where young dancers train, professionalize, and pursue dance as a career.

GCEBILE
DLAMINI
Gcebile is a community theatre social activist through her theatre directing, theatre facilitation and as an actress. Born in the mountainous valleys of Swaziland, she is currently residing in South Africa as an independent director and lecturer. She did a master in Creative Research under Drama for Life. “During my studies, I was drawn to theatre directing and community work with youth resulting in my developing interest in Community Theatre.”

JACK
ROMANS
Jack is a theatre maker and educator from Minnesota. As a director, Jack uses participatory theatre, music, and (upcycled) puppetry to invite audiences of all ages to play together and create magic. As an educator, Jack combines his classical acting and musical theatre training with clown to encourage reactivity and curiosity among his students. "I selfishly enjoy the wonder and magic of new voices across ages, ability, and cultural background, and I hope to conjure my own magic through theatre as a gift in return."

JERRY
MAC-DONALD
Jerry is a trainer, coach and advisor from The Netherlands with Surinamese, African and Indian roots. He works with the emphasis on how our body responds to the space and each other: you and me in this particular time and space. Through his Buddhist practice and work in the form of movement and dance, he utilizes the body as a portal to his own essence. He continuously researches his own essence and from there on connects with other living beings and life itself.

JÓN
STAEKENBORG
Jón is an all-round professional trumpet player, music-teacher with Dutch-Icelandic heritage. He also owns a design lighting and furniture restoration and upholstery atelier. His music-teaching and live playing with bands can be combined very well with his work on design icons for international clients. “My energy and mojo are nourished by creativity, surprise and wonder!

KARIN
SEELEN
Karin is a Dutch illustrator residing in Portugal. In 2016 she started drawing on chalkboards, later she specialised in illustrations, window drawings and murals. She also gives workshops. She loves color, flowing lines and nature; which is visible in a lot of her work.

LOTTE
STEGEMAN
Lotte is a Dutch (children’s book) author and nature journalist. The common thread in her work is the relationship between humans and other species, and animal behavior plays a major part in most of her books. "More love for nature, through knowledge and astonishment. That is what I hope to achieve."

STEPHEN MARTEY
MARKWEI
Stephen Martey Markwei, originally from Ghana, residing in Canada is continually evolving as a research consultant, choreographer, multidisciplinary artist, and theatre enthusiast. He believes "Art engages with the soul without permission and serves as a discerning tool for solutions hidden from plain sight." Markwei's passion for artistic expression and his commitment to enhancing human experience through research and the arts are evident in his dedication to addressing societal issues related to learning disabilities. His artistic talent, combined with a strong social conscience, demonstrates his commitment to his craft and his devotion to addressing important societal and organizational issues through data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and public sector collaboration.
